Jurgen Klopp receive transfer boost to land £130m rated ‘generational talent’ to Liverpool
Liverpool have been handed a boost in their bid to bring Jude Bellingham to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the Liverpool hierarchy has been in touch with the 19-year-old midfielder and his representatives regarding a potential move to Anfield at the end of the current campaign, even though Jurgen Klopp has not yet had personal discussions with him.
This was revealed in a recent interview with Sky Sports Germany.
Despite interest from Chelsea, Manchester City, and Real Madrid, the journalist continued to claim that the Reds are confident of completing a deal for the England international, who is said to have an asking price of £130 million including add-ons.
Additionally, the manager of Liverpool believes that the youngster prefers a move to Merseyside.
Regarding Liverpool’s talks with Bellingham, Plettenberg said: “There has not yet been a personal conversation between Klopp and Bellingham.
“The conversations so far have been held by others from the club with the Bellingham side. They want him and they still have the feeling that it could work and that Bellingham wants Liverpool.”
