Jurgen Klopp reacts to the “wild” game against Manchester City says “we have to live with it”
Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has reacted to “What a game. Wild,” following the 2-2 draw with Man City at the Etihad Stadium at the Weekend.
The Red twice came from behind to keep the Premier League title race on a knife-edge with a pulsating 2-2 draw at Manchester City.
Kevin De Bruyne’s deflected effort bouncing off the post with Alisson Becker stranded giving City the lead in the sixth minute of play.
But the visitors were back on terms seven minutes later at the Etihad Stadium through Diogo Jota.
Gabriel Jesus beat Liverpool’s offside trap to score his first Premier League goal since September in the 37th minute as City re-took the lead. But Mohamed Salah played in Sadio Mane to level the game for the Reds.
Both sides pushed for a winner but were made to settle for a point apiece.
Speaking at the Post-match conference Klopp said “I think we can describe it as a boxing fight, both arms down for a second and you get a massive knock. I liked a lot of things. I thought we were closer than ever.
“The second half start was much better. City really tried obviously things like balls in behind. It makes sense when you have these smart runs. In moments when we tried to breathe a little bit, another one comes. It was a great game and the result, we have to live with and can live with.
“We could do better but in a lot of moments, we did really well. It was good fun, I liked it.”
Liverpool remains a point behind City in the Premier League, with seven games left before the end of the season.
