Jurgen Klopp drops hint on the possibility of selecting Mo Salah ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Manchester City
Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has spoken out about Mohamed Salah’s form ahead of the Premier League title decider with Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday.
Klopp insists that there is no substitute for big-game experience as he weighs whether he will keep confidence in Mohamed Salah ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
The 29-year-old has struggled for form lately, producing perhaps his worst display of the season in the Champions League win against Benfica, where he was substituted after an hour.
Salah’s dramatic dip in form has sparked a huge debate over whether he should start against City at the Etihad.

When asked if experience counts for anything in such a massive showdown, Klopp was decisive.
“Yes, big-game experience helps. It is not the only important thing you consider when you make a line-up but it’s one of these. That’s it.” said Klopp.
Klopp had earlier suggested Salah had suffered from “all the stories around him”, suggesting he was influenced by constant talk about his contract and criticism of his form.
However, the German tactician has clarified those comments, by explaining he meant simply the pressure of carrying his nation’s hopes and expectation on his shoulders during an intense international period.
“I didn’t know about the stories behind it, it was the ‘stories’ on what we thought about intensity (with pressure on him from the national team.”
“That was what I thought, not the stories that were written.” Klopp had also said, after the Benfica game, he had full confidence in his star player and explained: “It is fine, Mo will be completely fine.”
Klopp is spoilt for options upfront with the availability of Mo Salah, Luis Diaz, Firmino, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota, and Takumi Minamino.
The statement above from the Liverpool boss shows that Salah is certain to be in Liverpool’s starting lineup for the game against City on Sunday.
