West Ham united sensational midfielder Declan Rice appeared to heap praises to Joe Gomez’s return to form after telling the centreback ‘Joe, see you soon, yeah’ in the tunnel after the Reds’ 1-0 victory.

Though one can’t help but wonder if the midfielder has some concerns that Gareth Southgate may recall the No. 2 to his side for the World Cup, it may just be two fellow England internationals saying goodbye.
He is almost surely going to be included in the provisional 55-man team that the Three Lions manager chooses before it is whittled down to the final 26 players for Qatar.
The former Middlesbrough coach will find it harder and harder to overlook Gomez if he can maintain his performance week after week.
