“It’s been quite a ride!” – Watch Mo Salah’s heartfelt Liverpool tribute to Sadio Mane
Mohamed Salah is one of the players that have paid tribute to their departing teammate, Sadio Mane, who is leaving Liverpool after a storied six years.
After a drawn-out transfer in which the two clubs agreed to a transaction worth up to £35.1 million, Mane has now officially moved from Liverpool to Bayern Munich.

In the six years after his transfer from Southampton in 2016, the No. 10 has proven essential, making today a sad day at Anfield.
In reference to Mane’s revolution at the club, Jurgen Klopp called him “one of Liverpool’s best ever players.” “Sadio made it all possible.”
The agreement among his admiring fans is that in 269 appearances, during which he scored 120 goals, provided 48 assists, and won six championships, he solidified his status as a club legend.
Now Salah has added his praise to those offered to Mane, his longtime attacking rival, by praising him on Twitter following his departure from Merseyside:
“It’s been quite a ride!” the Egyptian wrote.
“Thank you for all the good times and I wish you all the best in your new adventure!
“You will be missed by all of us.”
It contradicts the idea that Salah and Mane are competitors in attack rather than teammates, with their mutual tenacity occasionally leading to claims of a strained relationship.
Salah was not the only Liverpool player to pay tribute to the 30-year-old; Kostas Tsimikas, Virgil van Dijk, and Jordan Henderson also did so via Instagram stories:
The forward gave everything over his six seasons at Anfield and, in his words, achieved everything, so it is a warm departure rather than a bitter one.
He has joined Bayern for a “fresh challenge” after winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.
Additionally, he disclosed that he had previously bid his teammates farewell in a “long text” during his leaving interview with LFCTV.
“I sent a long text to say goodbye to everybody, which is normal,” he said.
“They were sad, as I was, but it is part of life. We just have to accept it.”
