Watch Marco Asensio ‘makes final Liverpool decision’ amid £34m transfer rumours
Marco Asensio is still being linked to a transfer to Liverpool, but it seems the Real Madrid forward is not too excited about the notion.
The La Liga giants may be willing to trade the player, according to reports that first connected the Reds with the Spain international over the weekend. Several reports have also stated a cost of around €40 million (£34).
However, Asensio himself is reportedly not enthusiastic about the possibility of heading to Liverpool, according to the Spanish news outlet Diario Sport. The 26-year-old reportedly wants to relocate to a new nation, according to the article.
According to rumors, Asensio would love to relocate to Italy, namely to AC Milan. When Divock Origi’s contract at Liverpool ends this summer, it becomes increasingly probable that this is the club will sign him.
This summer, Liverpool has already been fairly active in the transfer market, adding three new players. Jurgen Klopp’s team for the upcoming season now includes Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez, and Calvin Ramsay.
Anfield insiders have said that with the recent arrival of Ramsay, Liverpool’s impending transfer business is finalized.
The players the Reds planned to sign going into the window are believed to have been obtained after the three aforementioned acquisitions.
