“I’d like to join Liverpool” – watch Gavi makes honest transfer admission as Liverpool are given greenlight to sign him and FSG must act fast

Liverpool have been given green light to sign Gavi and have been heavily linked with the youngster although it’s been reported that Calvin Ramsay will be Liverpools last summer signing, but it looks like there will be an exception.

During the summer transfer window, Liverpool were extensively associated with Gavi, and a new update on the youngster’s future has come amid contract negotiations with his current club Barcelona.

While it was thought that a deal was close to being done in Spain, according to reports, there are still numerous discrepancies between the player and the club to be straightened out.

According to the source, Gavi and Barcelona were almost completely in agreement on extending his contract and securing his future at the La Liga giants, but this is no longer the case.

According to reports, Barcelona does not consider Gavi to be a fully-fledged footballer yet, despite the fact that the young midfielder believes he has gained enough experience to be paid on par with his more senior teammates.

FSG must act now

With reports that Barcelona are not as close to completing a deal to keep Gavi at the club as they had hoped, FSG must act quickly to seize the opportunity to hijack the agreement and offer the youngster a career at Anfield.

In terms of midfield possibilities, Liverpool’s squad is becoming older, with Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson, and James Milner all in their 30s.

As a result, bringing some youth into the Reds’ lineup might be a positive step forward in their quest for dominance and trophies on all fronts.

Jamie Redknapp praised Gavi in an interview on Sky Sports, calling him “brilliant” and a “phenomenon.”

According to SPORT, the former Liverpool midfielder gushed:

“I want to see Gavi’s birth certificate… You can’t be that good at 17! He is a phenomenon, very talented. I’m amazed, I loved watching him play, it’s a pleasure to see him.

“Gavi is going to be a superstar if he continues on this path. He has it all, I loved watching him play tonight.”

During the 2021/22 season, the Spanish prodigy – who has a €100 million (£85.6 million) release clause – scored two goals, provided five assists, and created eight great opportunities while making 1.1 tackles and winning 5.6 duels per game.

In addition, he was effective with 62% of his dribbles in 34 La Liga outings, indicating that his potential is limitless.

With that in mind, FSG must not miss out on the chance to entice Gavi away from settling his future with Barcelona this summer in favor of joining Jurgen Klopp’s excellent squad in their pursuit of a second Premier League title and beyond.
