Barcelona moved to second place in the La Liga table, after a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Levante on Sunday night.

Barca are now 12 points behind league leader Real Madrid with a game in hand.

Having played a goalless first half, the host took the lead 7 minutes into the second half.
They were awarded a penalty when Dani Alves challenged Son in the area and Jose Luis Morales converted it with confidence.

In the 55th minute,  Eric Garcia handled the ball following a corner from Levante and the host were awarded a penalty kick, but this time it was Roger Marti who steps up instead of Morales. But, the centre-forward’s attempt was saved by Ter Stegen.

Not long after the miss, Barcelona punished Levante for failing to convert their spot kick, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang found the back of the net with a powerful header after a fantastic assist from Ousmane Dembele.

Xavi’s side took the lead for the first time in the game as Pedri shot the ball confidently into the bottom corner, with Barcelona’s two teenagers having turned this game around within minutes of coming into the game.

Levante were given a third penalty of the night and Gonzalo Melero sent Barca keeper the wrong way to make it 2-2.

In the added time Barcelona scored a stoppage time goal, Not for the first time this season, Luuk de Jong is the super sub, with the Dutchman heading in a great cross from Jordi Alba to make it 3-2 to Barcelona and all three points as they move to second place in the Spanish La Liga table.
