“How can you not like him” De Jong admits Klopp’s action inside Etihad after a 2-2 draw against Man City epic

Former Premier League player Nigel de Jong shared ‘you can’t dislike’ JJurgen Klopp after he was still interacting with the Liverpool fans half an hour after the full-time whistle.

After City fans left the stadium and the Etihad empty, the away fans had to stay behind for a short period and the Liverpool boss was seen doing his usual fist pumps towards the crowd.

Liverpool had to come from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw against the Premier League leaders in an intense game.

It may not give a clear indication of what will happen in this race, but it’s probably a result that Liverpool and Man City fans will be happy to take.

Former Man City star de Jong was still inside the Etihad after the full-time whistle, as he commented on what he was seeing from Klopp, as he told Premier League Productions.

“How can you not like this guy,” said De Jong. “I am Man City bias, but you can’t dislike this

“It says something about the relationship he has with his fans. He always takes his time with them. He’s a great coach for the club.”

Liverpool will face Benfica in a one-sided second leg of the Champions League, having won 3-1 away at Portugal, before they meet City again in the Semifinal of the FA Cup at the Wembley Stadium over the weekend.
