Darwin Nunez ensured Liverpool’s Premier League revival continued as he scored the only goal with a brilliant header in a 1-0 win over West Ham.
The Uruguayan striker scored a first-half header to help the Reds build on a significant weekend triumph over champions Manchester City.
Given their general advantage in the match, the hosts should have had it easier, but in the end, they owed the three points to goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
The triumph was largely due to the Brazilian’s first-half penalty save from Jarrod Bowen and a spectacular late close-range stop from Tomas Soucek.
