‘He’s our main target but there’s another option’ – Watch jurgen Klopp “pushing a lot” for Bellingham transfer but reveals Premier League star as alternative
The reds manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly pushing a lot for the transfer of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, with Brighton starlet Moises Caicedo apparently emerging as an alternative in the January transfer window
This is according to Florian Plettenberg, who tweeted in response to a post noting Bellingham’s rekindled friendship with Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool while serving as England’s World Cup representative.
Although it is unclear where Bellingham will play for in the coming season, he has excelled for Borussia Dortmund and is also making an impression with England at this World Cup.
Although Klopp prioritizes the 19-year-old and views Caicedo as more of a Plan B, Plettenberg has suggested that the player’s asking price may present a problem for LFC.
Liverpool fans will certainly hope Klopp can get his man, with the Reds in urgent need of a rebuild in midfield to replace their ageing stars like Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Thiago Alcantara.
