Gini Wijnaldum sends Sadio Mane warning message amid plans to quit Liverpool
Former Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has sent a cryptic warning message to Sadio Mane ahead of his planned Liverpool departure.
Liverpool star winger Sadio Mane leaving Anfield is looking like a done deal as the day goes by.
Mane gave a strong hint that he will be leaving the Reds this summer when he spoke before an international match against Senegal on Friday.
The Senegal International is said to have told Liverpool after the Champions League final defeat that he wants to go, a surprise to Fenway Sports Group.
In Germany, Sport 1 have reported that a ‘lack of financial appreciation is the primary factor in his desire to leave Anfield.
However, Mane needs to take a look at what Gini Wijnaldum has been posting on Twitter over the past 24 hours before making a concrete decision.
Last summer, Wijnaldum left Liverpool after failing to secure the wages he desired on Merseyside, with Jurgen Klopp losing him on a Marquee player deal.
He signed with Paris Saint-Germain, the same club that later signed Lionel Messi, and it appeared that this was the right choice for the Netherlands international.
The 31-year-old struggled to establish himself as a regular in Mauricio Pochettino’s star-studded midfield, last season and as a result, he was dropped from Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands side.
Last night, while the Netherlands thrashed Belgium 4-1, Wijnaldum was sharing photos from his vacation on Instagram, which aptly sums up his downfall since leaving Liverpool.

Nobody is predicting Sadio Mane’s doom as a result of his departure from Liverpool.
But it makes you wonder if Wijnaldum would have accepted FSG’s contract extension offer last summer instead of the big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain if he’d understood how disastrous the decision would be to his career.
Mane will make more money by leaving Anfield because Real Madrid or Bayern Munich will both pay him well, but despite the cash gain, the grass isn’t greener on the other side, and if the former Southampton star needs reminding, he only has to look at Wijnaldum’s social media activities to see this messages.
