FA Cup: Liverpool vs Man City: Team news, possible starting XI and predicted scoreline
Liverpool will face Manchester City for the second time in a week. This time, it’s the FA Cup semi-final at the Wembley Stadium as the Reds look to win this competition for the first time since 2006.
Team news
Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp revealed that the team that played the last time out is fit except Diogo Jota, who suffered a knock in the 3-3 Benfica draw two nights ago.
However, Klopp is undecided on Jota and we can expect the striker to be named on the bench against the team he scored last weekend.
Manchester City
Pep Guardiola confirmed that Kevin de Bruyne and Kyle Walker will most likely miss the match against Liverpool. Both players suffered a knock in city’s goalless away draw at Atletico Madrid during the week.
The rest of the side that played Liverpool last week is fit to play.
Liverpool vs Man City Predicted starting XI
Predicted Liverpoolvs Man City XI: Alisson; Trent, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago, Keita; Salah, Diaz, Mane
Man City Predicted XI vs Liverpool: Steffen; Cancelo, Dias, Aké, Zinchenko; Rodri, Gundogan, Bernardo; Jesus, Foden, Sterling
Predicted Score line
Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City
A game so high-stakes will surely have goals in it. Given that these are the two sides best in England, we can expect another intense game.
Liverpool are better-rested after playing a second-string side in the Champions League. City, meanwhile, played a very tough game against Atletico Madrid and come to this game a little more tired as compared to the Reds. I expect another draw game.
