Calvin Ramsay was traded by the Reds for a club record sum in anticipation of his potential Champions League debut.
The teenager moved to Anfield for a club-record transfer fee from the Dons, but the right-back sustained a back ailment that has kept him out of action thus far this season.
Ramsay made his debut last season, and despite Aberdeen having a terrible year, the kid from the academy outperformed his more seasoned competitors.
His superb exploits attracted the attention of top-tier clubs in Italy and England.
He wrote on social media after agreeing to the Adidas contract: “I’m really looking forward to working with the team at @adidasfootball.
His teammates are just as eager to see him onto the field as are the spectators.
Liverpool centre back Joe Gomez stated in an interview: “Calvin seems like a really down to earth lad.
“We weren’t able to mix with him in training in pre-season, which was unfortunate, but hopefully he’s nearly there in overcoming that little issue and I think we’re all excited to see him play.
“He’s obviously a talented player, which is why he’s at this club, and from what he’s like around the place, he seems a nice, humble lad and we’re looking forward to seeing him getting involved on the pitch.”
