Every word Jurgen Klopp said on Mo Salah and Sadio Mane form, Ralf Rangnick and Manchester United during a press conference
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke to the press ahead of Tuesday night’s Premier League clash against Manchester United which will take place at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp was asked about the title race and the chance to go top with victory over Ralf Rangnick’s United side.
Physical struggles
Sadio had some physical struggles since he came back (from AFCON). He couldn’t use his immense physicality every few days. Before game v City, I thought it looks like Sadio physically and that’s why he was able to play the game he played.

Mane and competition from Diaz
“I’ve known Sadio nearly six years, as far as I have known him he’s never needed competition to be the best version of himself. I’m not sure bringing in Luis affected that part of his game. But playing centre suits Sadio very well as well.
Training at highest level
“If we achieve anything this year it’s because of how all the boys deal with the situation, including the boys not in the squad from time to time, they keep still their training quality at a high level.

Organisation
“I think Ralf tried to organise them with a clear structure. That is what he did. United have played some really good games, but even when they win, it’s difficult to gain momentum. But they concede less now for sure.”
Klopp on United changes
“Ralf always tries to organise the team, that’s what he has done. United played some really good games, but even when they win it’s difficult to gain momentum.
Demands
“As long as you are successful, you don’t have the time. It is pretty demanding – I would love to have more time but that is wishful thinking. The boys are always ready to prepare as good as they can. For 3/4 teams in the league, it is the same.”
Not much training time
“We’ve been in this situation since January – we are used to it. Recovery sessions, one session today – then we play tomorrow. The longest part of today will be sitting here in the media room!”
More on United
“We would have always been focused on this game regardless of what had happened on Saturday. Focus will not be our problem – we know it is a massive one.”
More on Salah
“We have had plenty of talks over the time we have worked together and at this specific moment there is no need to talk about the situation, just the normal stuff about what he has to do in the game and all these kind of things.
Klopp on Salah
“It’s a completely normal spell he is going through. We’ve spoken about the physical demands. I liked the game against City a lot, it was a really good football game, only a question of time before he scores again. He’s been close enough a couple of times.
Mutual respect
“I haven’t spoken to him since he has been in England out of respect, but you can see the changes he has made there and the parts he has improved. When I prepare for the United game, I don’t think about Ralf, it’s about preparing for the team.”
Man United intensity
“The Manchester United we will face, they will go for it. They want to go to the Champions League. It will be an intense 90 minutes. We have to make sure they don’t take our points to get there.”
