“A great club with great players” – Serie A giants present ‘formal offer’ to sign Liverpool star Roberto Firmino as he makes his final decision
Serie A-league giants According to Tutto Juve, Juventus has made a bid for Roberto Firmino, the attacker for Liverpool (via Sport Witness).
The Old Lady has submitted a bid for the forward from Brazil that is said to be worth €23 million.
There are currently no indications that Firmino’s Liverpool contract will be extended after the current year.
To avoid having him depart for free the next summer, the Reds may be inclined to sell their star forward this summer in exchange for a transfer fee.
If Firmino decides to leave Liverpool this summer, Juventus may be one of his potential destinations.
The aforementioned source claims that the Bianconeri are even willing to up their offer in an effort to persuade Liverpool to offload Firmino before the deadline for transfers.
According to reports, Juventus of Serie A will make Liverpool a better offer for veteran Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino.
Firmino had already stated his want to remain at Anfield. Sport Witness cited him as stating the following:
“I’m very happy here. I’m grateful to God that I’m here playing for a great club with great players, winning titles. And my will is to stay.”
But under Jurgen Klopp, Firmino has significantly slipped down the pecking order.
Last season, the German mostly preferred Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota as center-forward alternatives.
Since then, Darwin Nunez has been acquired by the Reds for €75 million from Benfica of Portugal.
He has been brought in to take Mane’s place, who departed Anfield to join Bayern Munich.
Additionally, Mohamed Salah has been extended a new three-year deal by Liverpool.
Salah had just one year left on his deal before to the extension, making him comparable to Firmino in terms of situation.
Last time around, Firmino had a season marred by injuries. Only 11 goals and five assists were recorded by the 30-year-old attacker in 35 appearances across all tournaments.
In a 5-0 victory in October against Watford, the Brazilian did achieve a hat-trick.
