Liverpool transfer; Liverpool ‘send scouts to watch wonderkid’ as £10m offers ‘expected’ for star winger

Liverpool is reportedly said to be interested jhon Duran after a breakout season in the MLS for the teenager.

According to sources, Liverpool is keeping an eye on Colombian forward Jhon Duran and Chicago Fire.

The same scout who ‘followed’ the former Porto winger, who joined Liverpool last season for an initial £37 million, has reportedly been dispatched to Chicago to keep an eye on another promising Colombian, according to Pipe Sierra, a journalist who provided insights into Liverpool’s acquisition of Luis Diaz back in January.

He wrote on Twitter:

“The same #Liverpool scout who followed Luis Díaz has gone to see Jhon Jáder Durán (18).

‘The Reds’ already know the conditions and that for €10M #ChicagoFire would let the Colombian go”.

Several clubs across Europe are also reportedly keeping tabs on the young star, with Chelsea, Lille, Frankfurt and PSV Eindhoven all named by Sierra as interested parties.

American football reporter Tom Bogert reported on similar claims yesterday, posting on Twitter: “Big clubs in Europe are following Chicago Fire wonderkid Jhon Duran.

According to reports, Liverpool and Chelsea are pursuing. Expecting $10 million+ offers to come this winter for the 18-year-old. For up to $2.5 million, Fire signed Duran. made his debut in Colombia last week.

The 18-year-old made his senior debut for Colombia in September, replacing Radamel Falcao at halftime in a 4-1 victory over Guatemala. He also played in a 3-2 victory over Mexico.

The Medellin-born attacker scored two well-taken goals to help Chicago defeat Cincinnati, leaving any Reds scouts in attendance over the weekend very impressed.

Fire coach Ezra Hendrickson was full of praise for the Colombian, describing him as a “player that, once he gets it all together, he can be a really, really special player. He has all the tools.”
