Liverpool suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Bundesliga side Strasbourg on Sunday night in their final preseason game of the 2022/23 season.
Two First-half goals from Andrew Thomasson and one goal from Habib Diallo put the visitors in the driving seat early in the game.
Many of Liverpool’s first-team squad players were not in the lineup for the match, having featured in the 3-1 victory over Man City yesterday.
Strasbourg took the lead as early as the fourth minute of the game at Anfield.
A whipped ball across the box is not dealt with by the Reds back line and Adrien Thomasson steals in on Isaac Mabaya to poke them in front to make it 1-0
Strasbourg doubled their lead after a howler from Luke Chambers to gift possession to Habib Diallo to slam the ball past Davies in goal.
Marvin Seneya past James Milner and Stefan Bajcetic and his cutback is buried by Thomasson, for his second goal of the night to make it 3-0.
Liverpool young side began mounting pressure on the visitors trying to bounce back, but the Reds were no match for the Bundesliga side.
