Many of Liverpool’s first-team squad players were not in the lineup for the match, having featured in the 3-1 victory over Man City yesterday.

Strasbourg took the lead as early as the fourth minute of the game at Anfield.

Strasbourg doubled their lead after a howler from Luke Chambers to gift possession to Habib Diallo to slam the ball past Davies in goal.

Marvin Seneya past James Milner and Stefan Bajcetic and his cutback is buried by Thomasson, for his second goal of the night to make it 3-0.

Liverpool young side began mounting pressure on the visitors trying to bounce back, but the Reds were no match for the Bundesliga side.
