Liverpool transfer; How Chelsea ‘wanted’ Mohamed Salah return and Liverpool exit
Following the recent report that Mohamed Salah had agreed to a new three-year contract at Anfield and was now the club’s highest-paid player, the most current Liverpool news and transfer rumors are discussed.
Mohamed Salah extended his deal with Liverpool until 2025.
As a result of Mohamed Salah signing a new deal over the weekend, Liverpool’s chances of beating Manchester City to the Premier League championship this season will be improved.
The Egyptian, who has three times been the Reds’ golden boot winner in the Premier League, signed a £350,000 per week contract on Friday that would keep him at Anfield until 2025.

But according to sources, the attacker was the subject of interest from one of Liverpool’s Premier League rivals prior to the signing of his new deal.
With less than a month until the Reds’ season opener against Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium, Mirror Sport looks at the most recent Reds transfer rumors.
According to The Sun, Salah’s former team Chelsea had expressed a keen interest in re-signing the winger this summer before he agreed to new terms at Anfield.
Additionally, it states that Salah was considering a comeback to Stamford Bridge before to agreeing to a contract that would make him the highest-paid player in club history.
It states that Ramy Abbas, Salah’s agent, informed Liverpool’s owners that the attacker would return to Chelsea once Todd Boehly, owner of the LA Dodgers, purchased the team in the summer.
Salah extended his contract with the club three days ago, contrary to prior claims made by The Sun that the club would have preferred to accept a £60 million transfer fee for him this summer.
