SaMo Salah Contract -“so excited” Salah reveals the real reason he signed a new Liverpool deal
Mohamed Salah have spoken about his new three-year deal with Liverpool, saying he was “very pleased” to team up £85m new attacker with Darwin Nunez.
Salah’s spell with the Reds appeared to be coming to an end a year from now for a while because there was little sign of progress in the negotiations between the club and his agent.
But Liverpool pulled off a surprise on Friday when they revealed a new, long-term contract for their superstar, who has now committed until 2025 on terms that can surpass £350,000 a week.
Anfield is undergoing a lot of turmoils right now, and Sadio Mane’s exit made room for the club’s record-breaking acquisition of Nunez from Benfica.
Salah’s presence will remain constant throughout this evolution, and the 30-year-old emphasized his eagerness to play with his new teammate in an interview with LFCTV following the news of his contract extension.
“I’m so excited, I want to play with him,” Salah said of Nunez.
“He had a good season last season and he played good against us, home and away.
“Also, Sadio is leaving. We’re going to miss him, we had good seasons with the club, so I wish him all the best.
“I wish Darwin all the best, to score many goals for us.”

Salah has 156 goals in just 254 games, making him the ninth-highest goalscorer in Liverpool history. He passed Harry Chambers, Sam Raybould, and Jack Parkinson in the most recent season.
The Egyptian is clearly aiming higher, with these personal accolades motivating him to stay and drive the Reds to greater success. He can pass Michael Owen with another three goals, but it is clear that the Egyptian is aiming higher.
“It’s great to see yourself at No. 9 in the highest goalscorers for the club, especially when you do it in a short time,” he continued.
“It’s something great. I said it many times before, the most important thing is to win trophies, but I think when you score goals and help the team to win games, that’s also what brings trophies.
“It’s something I’m proud of.” Salah added: “Especially when you do it in a short time, as a winger, with many assists, it’s something great.”
