“It’s the cycle of football” – watch Liverpool star decides on his future as Stewart Downing backs him to follow Sadio Mane out of Anfield
Former Liverpool winger Stewart Downing predicts that Roberto Firmino will leave the team in the same direction as Sadio Mane. After several days of rumors, Mane signed with Bayern Munich.
The German champions recently made the news public.
The period of the renowned triad of Salah, Mane, and Firmino has come to an end with Mane’s departure.
Due to the fact that Salah and Firmino are both approaching the end of their contracts, it is only natural that uncertainty surrounds both of their futures.

Roberto Firmino might be the next member of the illustrious trio to leave the club, according to Downing, who worked at Liverpool from 2011 to 2013.
Firmino, according to Downing, had a more supporting role last season while Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz filled in.
According to Teamtalk, Downing stated the following before to the 360 Sports TV Masters Cup:
“Towards the end of last season, Roberto Firmino didn’t play as often as he would like. He was a regular at one point and played nearly every game.”
“It’s the cycle of football. Diogo Jota came in and surprised everyone. I knew he was a good player, but he got goals and hit the ground running.”
Together, Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane contributed 495 goals throughout the course of their five-year playing partnership. Together, they scored 338 goals and 157 assists.
The front three alone average 1100 goals every season.
“Then there’s Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz, who got shifted into the side ahead of Firmino.”
According to Downing, Firmino will serve as Darwin Nunez’s backup this year.
According to the former England winger, this might be Firmino’s final campaign at Anfield, and he might even depart in January. he added:
“You’ve always got to be at the top of your game for clubs like Liverpool because they need to keep progressing, it will be interesting to see.”
“I hope Darwin Nunez hits the ground running. I see Firmino being a backup player to him. If they can get Firmino back to the form he was at a couple of seasons ago, it’s another great dimension for Liverpool.”
“But this will probably be his last year, or he might do until January.”
