Aurelien Tchouameni finally speaks out about Liverpool and Manchester United’s transfer interest
Aurelien Tchouameni finally speaks out about Liverpool and Manchester United’s transfer interest.
Aurelien Tchouameni is one of the most exciting midfielders in European football right now, attracting attention from all across the continent, but his most recent comments have raised some eyebrows.
Aurelian Tchouameni, a transfer target for Liverpool and Manchester United, has declared that he is open to staying at AS Monaco for another season and playing in the Champions League.
Tchouameni is wanted by a number of Europe’s top clubs, although the two Premier League giants appear to have the most serious interest. Arsenal, another English club, is also said to be interested in signing the midfielder.

Speaking to the media this week, the France international claimed:
“I am contracted here until 2024 with the option until 2025. We’ll see what the future has in store for me.
“The transfer window is always a period where lots of things can happen. There is my personal case, but there are cases for lots of other players who are out of contract or who perhaps have desires elsewhere.”
Due to UEFA’s coefficient, the French top division only admits three teams into European club football’s most elite competition, unlike the Premier League, where the top four teams qualify.
Monaco, on the other hand, are now barely outside of the Champions League qualification places, but with three games remaining, they might yet leapfrog Rennes.
If they do, Tchouameni believes the disappointment of last season’s defeat will motivate him to continue at the Stade Louis II.
When asked if he would stay if Monaco offered Champions League football, the teenage star replied:
“Yeah, why not? The elimination last year stuck in my throat. Playing Champions League football with Monaco isn’t something that would displease me.”
Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also monitoring the situation.
Any club planning to sign the french sensation in the summer is expected to have to pay at least £60million
