Watch; Sadio Mane exit shows how Liverpool take Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Manchester United warning seriously
Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane’s departure from Anfield was painful, the sale reveals Jurgen Klopp’s strategy for the team moving forward.
Sadio Mane leaving Anfield will undoubtedly leave Liverpool fans feeling quite upset.
The Senegalese forward signed a three-year contract with Bayern Munich and paid £31 million to move to Germany.

His exit ends a trophy-filled run with the Reds, during which he nearly captured every national and European championship available.
Merseyside appears to be entering a new era under Jurgen Klopp, one that should see them maintain their strong run under the German, as Mane’s sale seems to do.
It made sense for the Reds to move the forward on because Mane was approaching his 30th birthday and just had one year left on his contract.
However, the club did not limit itself to using their existing possibilities. With the arrival of FC Porto star Luis Diaz in January’s transfer window, they moved to sign Mane’s prospective replacement.
The Colombian had a successful first year at Anfield after being instrumental in the team’s quest for an unprecedented quadruple. With the probable club record signing of Darwin Nunez from Benfica, the Reds have gone even further this summer.
The Uruguayan, who is only 22 years old, joins Liverpool with a dangerous reputation after a season in which he scored 34 goals for the Portuguese giants.
In addition to taking over Mane’s mantle, his youth would also enable him to play a crucial role in the Reds’ assault for a lot of years to come.
The current Reds manager looks to already have a strategy in place to locate Borussia Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham as the replacement for Liverpool’s midfield throne.
Klopp hammers home the idea that ongoing progress is more important than quick success. Even the Reds’ locker room is aware of the risks of remaining motionless in the Premier League.
Trent Alexander-Arnold issued a warning after the Reds defeated Chelsea to win the FA Cup last year, saying that they cannot afford to take their success for granted like their bitter rivals Manchester United have in the past.
He said: “Growing up, I remember looking at Man United and thinking what it would be like to be them going for league titles every year, Champions League trophies every year.
“I’ll use Man United as an example again, now, they’re probably thinking, ‘We shouldn’t have taken that sustained period of success for granted because now it seems like we’re far away from it’.
“For us fans and players, we can’t get complacent and just get used to it, we have to really still enjoy it and keep our expectations where they need to be.
“We’ve got to enjoy the game for as long as we can because it won’t last forever.”
