Real Madrid produced a remarkable comeback against Manchester City to make it through to the Champions League final, where they will face Liverpool.

City took a 1-0 lead and looked certain to reach the final after Riyad Mahrez’s fine strike had put them in front on the night.

But Madrid, had other plans as they have done throughout this Champions League campaign, somehow managed to make it to Paris with a dramatic late show.

Man City should have killed the game through Jack Grealish who, had two great chances but Los Blancos refused to give up and eventually caused problems for City.

Substitute Rodrygo scored twice in as many minutes in stoppage-time to force the game into 30 minutes extra time.

In extra-time, Madrid took the lead through a penalty from Karim Benzema, after Ruben Dias fouled the French striker in the area.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men will now be looking to add to their vast collection of European trophies when they face Liverpool in Paris.

As for Manchester City, the wait for a European title continues.
