One Liverpool player, who still has four years left on his contract, could leave the club permanently this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Liverpool and relegated Southampton drew 4-4 on Sunday to cap off a dismal campaign.

The Reds came close to achieving an unprecedented quadruple only a year ago, and it seemed like they would keep dominating at the top of the European game for years to come. But this time, Jurgen Klopp’s team failed to earn a Champions League spot for the next season and finished the campaign without a trophy.

In turn, the Anfield club have been tipped to undergo a major rebuild with the midfield particularly a position the club are looking to address.

Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, Ryan Gravenberch and many others have all been linked to a Liverpool move this summer.

Romano claimed that Fabio Carvalho, who only moved to Liverpool from Fulham last summer, could leave on a permanent deal this coming window.

The transfer guru tweeted: “Understand there’s a permanent deal bid on Liverpool table from a club abroad for Fabio Carvalho.

“There are also many loan deal bids from PL clubs but Carvalho is not accepting as the project will be crucial for his decision.

“Klopp, aware of his intentions. Talks ongoing.”

Liverpool spent a reported fee of £5million plus add-ons on Carvalho after the youngster’s impressive breakthrough at Fulham.
