Liverpool winger Sadio Mane is closely being watched by top European clubs including Real Madrid and Barcelona amid contract uncertainty at Anfield according to reports.

The Senegal international Liverpool contract expires at the end of the next season which means he could become a free agent on June 1, 2023.

Talks between Mane’s representatives and the club have gone cold over the last few weeks, according to Goal.

The report adds that there is ‘increased speculation’ over Mane leaving in the summer, but club sources have ‘played down the idea.

Mane remains one of the Reds’ best players but at the age of 30, his market value will only drop from now on and with the arrival of Luis Diaz he now has some competition on the left wing.

Mane has made over 254 appearances since joining the Reds back in 2016 from Southampton.
