Liverpool suffered a 1-0 preseason loss at RB Salzburg as they prepare for the crucial Community Shield match against Manchester City.
Last week, the Reds thrashed RB Leipzig 5-0, but they were unable to overcome a resolute defensive Salzburg side in the second half.
Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott both missed great chances before Benjamin Sesko, who had outwitted Ibrahima Konate on the break, brutally put the home team ahead.
In the second half, Jurgen Klopp made a number of substitutions, but Nico Mantel and his defence rose to the occasion, giving the Premier League giants a miserable evening at the Red Bull Arena.
