Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly earned himself a place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lineup, for the Manchester derby following an impressive display in the Champions League against Atalanta.
The 27-year-old was deployed alongside victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire at the backline.
The Ivorian was unfortunate as he miscued Joao Cancelo cross past David De Gea to give City an early lead.
It was the kind of moment that the former Villarreal man is not known for. He equally he can achieve the sublime or the ridiculous.
But in this case, his panic clearance flew past De Gea and put United behind early in the first half.
Bailly took to Instagram after the game to express his disappointment and that of his teammates.

Bailly had just made his first Premier League appearance of the season, it was not as he would have imagined.
Without Raphael Varane, United’s defence was everywhere and lacked that confident and commanding presence that the Frenchman brings to the team.
The former Real Madrid player who has been sidelined for at least a month. United Centre backs will have to step up in the absence of the Frenchman, or the pressure will only intensify on Solskjaer.
It was an unusual moment for Bailly. However, he and his teammates have to pick themselves up and bounce back.
