Team news

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the big injury worry for Liverpool ahead of their lunchtime kick-off against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed the right-back suffered the problem ahead of last month’s FA Cup tie at Nottingham Forest, ruling him out of England duty.

Alexander-Arnold will be out “for weeks”, putting his participation in the upcoming Champions League clash with Benfica and the title showdown with Manchester City also in doubt.

Joe Gomez deputised at the City Ground and the defender should continue at Anfield against Watford in place of Trent Alexander Arnold.

James Milner is expected to be fit to face the Hornets after illness kept him out of action for a spell last month, while Naby Keita is a doubt due to a knee injury.
