Liverpool transfer: Liverpool given transfer warning from Wolves as links to their midfielder may not result in the player signing
Liverpool have been linked with numerous transfer targets before the end of the January transfer window with the reds interested in wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.
As reported by Football Insider: ‘Wolves have told Liverpool they are not planning to sell Ruben Neves this month in the latest blow to Jurgen Klopp’s plans to sign a top-class midfielder’.
Although it now seems a little off-target, Ruben Neves could still potentially join in the summer. Ruben Neves had been linked to a move to Anfield and perhaps even this month.
A January deal is unlikely because Mattheus Nunes had previously played for Sporting Lisbon before joining Wolves in the Premier League in August, but there have been significant ties to him joining the Reds in the summer.
We can only wait and watch what will happen on this one because it seems improbable that Julen Lopetegui’s team will sell two of their senior midfielders to the same club and in the same window.
