Liverpool handed triple injury boost ahead of Arsenal clash
Liverpool vs Arsenal news: Liverpool handed triple injury boost ahead of Arsenal clash.
Liverpool will return to action on Saturday in the Premier League against in-form Arsenal side at Anfield.
The reds suffered a shocking 3-2 loss to West Ham United before the international break. This was their first defeat of the season in all competitions.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will look to return to winning ways and close the gap on League league leaders, Chelsea when they host Arsenal on Saturday.
Liverpool are currently fourth on the Premier League table, trailing table-toppers Chelsea with four points, and will need to secure all three points against Mikel Arteta’s men.
However, victory for Arsenal will see them leapfrog the red and move into the top four.
The Gunners come into Saturday game on the back of a 10 game unbeaten run. Many will see this game as a true test, for Arsenal, having played mid-table teams before now.
With James Milner, Naby Keita, Bobby Firmino, and Harvey Elliot already out with injuries before the two weeks break.
Liverpool’s injury list continued to grow as Andy Robertson was taken off for Scotland with an injury problem, while Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane both limped out of international duty for their respective countries.
But, recent reports coming out of Melwood training ground states otherwise.
According to Liverpool echo, both Henderson and Milner were training alone, but there was better news around Sadio Mane, who took part in full training.
There is no update on Andy Robertson, who was forced to retire from Scotland a 2-0 win over Denmark, with what appeared to be a hamstring problem on Monday night.
However, it now seems likely that all three could be in top form before Saturday night’s clash with the Gunners.
