Sadio Mane looks to have decided to leave Liverpool this summer, and a former Red Devil has pushed Jurgen Klopp to sign a major Manchester United summer transfer target.

Mark Bosnich, a former Manchester United goalkeeper, has pushed Liverpool to sign Red Devils target Christopher Nkunku as a Sadio Mane successor.

With only one year left on his contract, the Senegalese forward appears to have decided to leave Merseyside this summer. Of course, he still has a lot of work to do in order to ensure his release.

The Reds have reportedly set a £42.5 million asking price for Mane, with Jurgen Klopp’s side only willing to trade if they can find a suitable replacement.

Former United goalkeeper Bosnich has stated that in-demand attacker Nkunku, who had a fantastic season with RB Leipzig, could be a perfect candidate to join Liverpool.

Former Australian international, speaking on Sky Sports, said:

“I was going to say that’s the $64million (£51million) question but it might actually cost a bit more than that.

“I was thinking about that today and watching from the Champions League, there’s the boy from Leipzig I think, Nkunku.

“He was somebody who really stood out for me. I know Leipzig dropped down into the Europa League and were knocked out in the semi-finals by Rangers but he was exceptional and that’s what I was thinking about today when I was thinking about if Mane leaves, what to do and that’s the one that came to mind for me.”

Nkunku has become one of the brightest players in European football this season. He was crowned Bundesliga Player of the Season after scoring 35 goals and assisting on 20 occasions in all competitions.
