Ibrahima Konate’s inspirational three-word response to losing World Cup final
Seven of Liverpool’s players traveled to Qatar for the World Cup, but Ibrahima Konate was the only one still playing when the tournament came to a close, so it was disappointing to see the Frenchman lose out on the championship.
Our No. 5 took to his Instagram stories to post three photographs that depicted where his head was at during this time after taking some time to comprehend the enormity of the game.
He began by sharing a photo of himself strolling past the World Cup with his runners-up medal, then one from the Champions League final, when we lost to Real Madrid, and finally a still from “Dragon Ball Z” with the World Cup logo: ‘Al Hamdulillah (praise be to God)… keep working’.
There is no reason why the former RB Leipzig player can’t win the trophy he has been so close to winning recently by joining the Reds. It is apparent that he is prepared to return bigger and better.
