“He trained yesterday for the first time and will today” – Liverpool recieves fitness boosts as Jurgen Klopp offers update on 25-year-old incredible Liverpool star
Liverpool recieves major fitness big boost, as forward Diogo Jota is set to return for their Premier League clash against Merseyside rivals Everton on Saturday (September 3).
The Portuguese is back in training, according to manager Jurgen Klopp, and might sit on the bench when Everton visits.

Jota, 25, had a hamstring injury this summer while competing for Portugal in the UEFA Nations League. Prior to the start of the season, he worsened that during training.
The forward is almost ready to play in his first game of the season, though.
Jota’s injury has progressed, according to Klopp (via Liverpool Echo):
“Diogo will probably be in as well (tomorrow). He trained yesterday for the first time and will today.”
The Reds will benefit greatly from Jota’s comeback since the Portuguese forward was in excellent goal-scoring form prior to suffering an injury.
In 55 games in all competitions last season, he scored 21 goals and contributed eight assists.
Regarding Darwin Nunez’s availability after his suspension, Klopp said: “He understood his mistake! He’s in fantastic shape. Really established now, it seems.”
Liverpool already has a number of injury concerns, particularly in the middle of the field.
Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, and Ibrahima Konate are among the notable players that are sidelined with injuries.
The Reds have suffered as a result; they currently hold the sixth spot in the Premier League standings after winning only two of their previous five games.
They lost to Manchester United’s opponents and drew with Fulham and Crystal Palace.
They triumphed 9-0 over Bournemouth before defeating Newcastle United 2-1 thanks to a last-second winner.
In the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, Klopp will want his squad to win three straight.
