Brighton vs Liverpool predicted starting xi; preview, prediction, H2H, team news, injury update and kickoff
Liverpool are on the road to Brighton on Saturday in the Premier League with the Reds hoping to keep pace with Manchester City at the summit of the standings.
preview
The Reds have just suffered their first defeat in 16 fixtures across all competitions – although still have a place in the last eight of the Champions League despite losing 1-0 to Inter on Tuesday – but still boast in sensational form in the Premier League as they search for an eighth successive league victory.
Liverpool should be able to welcome Roberto Firmino back to the squad for Saturday lunchtime’s Premier League trip to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were perhaps somewhat fortunate to leave Anfield with all three points against West Ham and lost on the night to Inter Milan on Tuesday, although can approach this with confidence.

As impressive as Graham Potter’s Brighton generally are, they have now lost four in a row and have tended to struggle at home as it is.
Clearly, they boast quality but have hit a sticky patch, meaning Liverpool surely approach this one as favourites.
If they are going to ramp up the pressure on Manchester City who, ironically, play Brighton’s biggest rivals Crystal Palace on Monday night, they will need all three points.
Brighton vs Liverpool team news
Liverpool were recently handed a boost having seen Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip and Roberto Firmino return to training with the Spaniard and the Cameroonian defender starting against Inter Milan.
Firmino, however, was not included in the squad.
Jordan Henderson was rested for that game and could come back into the side.
For Brighton, Adam Webster is likely to miss the fixture following his recent groin injury.

Roberto Firmino, the Brazilian attacker returned to full training from his groin problem before the Champions League last-16 second leg defeat to Inter Milan but was not deemed fit enough to participate on Tuesday.
However, Firmino is expected to compete for a spot in the attack this weekend, although the knock that kept Ibrahima Konate out of the 1-0 loss to the Nerazzurri will need assessing
