Mo Salah’s agent breaks silence on Liverpool’s star future amid claims he could leave Anfield
Mohamed Salah’s agent has set the record straight following reports the Liverpool star could be willing to leave Anfield this summer
Salah, 30, extended his Anfield contract by three years in July, keeping him there through 2025.
Yet, with Liverpool sluggishly occupying the seventh spot in the Premier League, speculation over his future has increased in recent weeks.
If Liverpool doesn’t make the Champions League, according to a report from the Spanish daily Fichajes, Salah may be prepared to quit the club at the end of the current campaign.
Salah’s possible destination PSG, has been mentioned as another allegation that the Reds may be open to offloading the Egyptian.
However, Salah’s agent – Ramy Abbas Issa – has hit back at suggestions Salah could leave the club this summer.
“Nonsense. This was never discussed or thought about. Not qualifying to the Champions League hasn’t even crossed our minds,” he tweeted.

According to Football Insider PSG are interested in signing Salah, with Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe all linked with potential moves away from the Parc des Princes in the summer.
While Liverpool have struggled this season, Salah has a respectable return of 19 goals from 35 games and is seen as a suitable replacement, should one of PSG’s star forwards leave the French club.
“PSG have the funds to meet Liverpool’s likely asking price as well as match the left footer’s current Anfield deal, penned last summer following extensive negotiations,” read the report.
However, Issa’s latest comments have cast doubt over those claims and whether Salah would be willing to leave Liverpool, even if they failed to qualify for the Champions League.
A goalless draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday has left Jurgen Klopp’s side nine points adrift of the top four, albeit having played two games less than fourth-place Tottenham.
Liverpool next face Wolves at Anfield on Wednesday before hosting Carabao Cup winners Manchester United on Sunday.
