Chelsea legend John Terry showers praise on Liverpool star following ‘devastating’ FA Cup defeat
After Luis Diaz’s spectacular performance against the Blues in the FA Cup final on Saturday, former Chelsea captain John Terry praised the winger on social media.
Since joining the Reds at £47.7 million from Porto, Diaz has been a revelation.
Liverpool got off to a fast start, and the winger’s quickness and runs in behind caused the Chelsea defense numerous issues.

To deny the Columbian, Blues goalkeeper Edouard Mendy made many excellent saves. The 25-year-old was a regular menace to the west London club’s defense but lacked finishing ability.
Terry expressed his sadness following his former club’s defeat, but singled out Diaz for praise in a comment on the forward’s performance.
“@luisdiaz absolutely devastated. But you’re a fantastic player my friend,”
John Terry commented on Luis Diaz’s Instagram post after the FA Cup final.
