£83m Liverpool and Chelsea target decides his next club in the summer

Liverpool and Chelsea are targeting Aurelien Tchouameni who has reportedly picked his next club this summer, with the midfielder now eyeing a move to Spain with Real Madrid.

As per AS, the France international has decided on a transfer to the La Liga giants following a breakout season in Ligue 1, with Tchouameni’s form catching the eye of some of top European clubs.

But, despite Liverpool and Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea, interest in the midfielder, Tchouameni prefers a move to Madrid, with AS Monaco setting an £83m price tag for the 22-year-old this summer as reported by Foot Mercato.

Tchouameni has been one of the best midfielders in League 1 this season and has exploded onto the scene as one of the most exciting young players in Europe, with Liverpool and Chelsea targeting him since late last year.

Real Madrid are now clear favourites to sign Tchouameni this summer, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side keen on reducing the age of their midfield with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos fast ageing.

With fellow France international Eduoard Camavinga already at the Santiago Bernabaeu, Tchouameni makes a lot of sense for Madrid given his qualities in the midfield.

The two Premier League giants would have felt confident in their abilities to lure the Frenchman to England, though with Madrid now the favourites to sign Tchouameni, Liverpool and Chelsea’s chance to land the midfielder seems all but faded.
