‘There’s no doubt’ – Jamie Carragher says City are better than Liverpool in one vital position

Jamie Carragher also claims that City have the edge over Liverpool in one vital area – the midfield.
Although Jamie Carragher claims that Liverpool are better than City in every other position, he thinks that the midfield battle is where Sunday’s game could be won or lost.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Football Podcast, Jamie Carragher
“I think in the midfield, there’s no doubt Man City have the edge in terms of quality in the centre of the pitch.
“In every other area Liverpool have the edge really, but we talk about the midfield in big games and how vital that area is, and there’s no doubt that City dominated that position at Anfield,”.
The midfield will be a huge deciding factor this weekend, and unfortunately, it’s incredibly tough to counter-act this City team and their talents in the centre of the pitch.
If City manage to get a strong grip on the game and control the midfield, then Liverpool could struggle at the weekend.
Jurgen Klopp will certainly have considered this in his thinking, but whether or not he can counter-act City’s midfield brilliance remains to be seen.
