“very difficult” Scott Mc Tominay speaks on Rangnick new style of play following 3-1 win over Burnley
Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has spoken about the style of football that Ralf Rangnick is bringing to the club.
The youngster had a Man of the Match performance when the Red Devils defeated Burnley 3-1 at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
McTominay put Manchester United ahead and the Red Devils doubled their lead midway through the first half thanks to an own goal from Ben Mee from a Jadon Sancho cross made it 2-0 in the 27th minute.
A few moments later, Ronaldo handed United a three-goal cushion after McTominay’s shot was blocked. Aaron Lennon got a consolation goal for the visitors as all goals came in the first half.
McTominay insisted that the team must continue to adapt to the German’s new methods of play come next year.
“We need to do more and hopefully in 2022 we can do that,” McTominay told Amazon Prime.
“If we are not running and competing in the first 15 minutes it is going to be difficult, no matter what the quality of our forward players.
“An old cliche in football. We are going through a transitional period, we can’t look too far ahead in terms of ambitions and goals.”.

He added that “It is about adapting to new methods.
“We have to go back to the basics of football. We have to tackle, we have to run, we have to create.
