Michael Owen Predicts Liverpool against Inter Milan champions league round of 16 clash.

Michael Owen has tipped Liverpool to defeat Inter Milan in the 2021/22 season of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

The Reds were drawn against Serie A champions Inter Milan in the Round of 16 stages.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were initially drawn against RB Salzburg before the draw had to be redone again.

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has backed the Premier League club to get the better of Inter over two legs in the Champions League last 16 ties.

Speaking on BT sports 1, Owen said: “I think that Liverpool are still clear favourites for that one.
“As much as they will be slightly disappointed with the draw, I don’t think they will totally throw the toys out of the pram because they should go through.”

Liverpool will head into the clash against Inter Milan as favourite.

The Red have some of the best players in the world the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Virgil van Dijk. In addition, the first leg will take place in Milan and the second leg at Anfield.

This will definitely give Liverpool an advantage over Inter, however, Simone Inzaghi’s side are not to be taken lightly.

Liverpool recorded a 100 percent win rate in the Champions League group stage in a group that consisted of Atletico Madrid, FC Porto, and AC Milan.

The Nerazzurri are the defending Italian champions after being under the shadows of Juventus for year’s and are doing well at moment, and finished second in Group D behind eventual group winners Real Madrid.

Inter are a point clear at the top of the league table at the moment and will be determined to win against Liverpool.
