Manchester United will be without key players for their upcoming match against Nottingham Forest, including Lisandro Martinez who sustained an injury in their recent Europa League draw with Sevilla and is now out for the remainder of the season.
Along with Martinez, United will also be without Raphael Varane who was substituted off at half-time against Sevilla due to a pre-existing injury that had been troubling him for a few weeks.
This leaves United with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof as their centre-back pairing for the game at the City Ground. Furthermore, the absence of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia means that Diogo Dalot will take up the left-back position.
Marcus Rashford is still out with a groin injury and Anthony Martial will lead United’s attack once again, rather than Wout Weghorst.
On the other hand, Casemiro will return from his suspension and feature in the Premier League for the first time in over a month, while Christian Eriksen is expected to start on the bench yet again.
This will undoubtedly be a challenging match for Manchester United, who will have to rely on their remaining key players to secure a win against Nottingham Forest.
