Morocco overcame Canada 2-1 to win Group F, advance to the Round of 16, and reach the World Cup knockout stage for the first time since 1986.
Belgium were eliminated after failing to score against Croatia, with Morocco taking first place and Croatia coming in second. Highlights for the African nation, which earned all three points thanks to goals from Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri in the first half.
Canada made another strong effort on the opposite end but was unsuccessful due to their continued defensive errors. Just before the break, Naif Aguerd scored their lone goal by deflecting a Sam Adekugbe pass into his own goal.
