Nunez, Konate, Thiago: Liverpool full injury update and potential return games
Liverpool injury news ahead of the Champions League clash against Real Madrid at Anfield.
As Liverpool plays Real Madrid in the opening leg of the round of 16 on Tuesday at Anfield, they are getting ready for a major Champions League match.
After a patchy run of performances thus far, the Reds’ only trophy they can win this season is the European Cup.
The two heavyweights are getting ready to square off once more, and Jurgen Klopp’s team couldn’t have asked for a tougher draw in the initial round of the elimination round. Liverpool lost to Madrid in the season’s final in Paris by a score of 1-0.
Yet, the Reds won’t be thinking about revenge. Liverpool will only be focused on getting a result against Los Blancos to carry into the follow-up match at the Santiago Bernabeu.
And ahead of the Real encounter, here’s the latest on the injury front.
The striker fell awkwardly in the second half during the victory at Newcastle – having opened the scoring in the first period. Liverpool are awaiting the severity of his issue. Potential return game: Real Madrid (H), Tuesday February 21.
