Liverpool Football Club are reportedly in direct contact with midfielders Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone over potential moves to Anfield this summer. The Reds are said to be keen on overhauling their midfield, and are looking to get their business done early in the transfer window.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are weighing up official bids for both Thuram and Kone, with talks ongoing between the club and the players’ agents.

Romano also reported yesterday that Liverpool are on the verge of sealing a deal for Argentinian midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will pursue both Thuram and Kone, or whether they will focus their efforts on just one of the players.

However, the fact that the club is already in direct contact with both players’ agents suggests that Liverpool are serious about strengthening their midfield this summer.
Thuram, who currently plays for Nice in Ligue 1, is the son of former France international Lilian Thuram. The 20-year-old midfielder is highly rated, and has been linked with a move to Liverpool for some time.
Kone, meanwhile, is a 19-year-old midfielder who plays for Toulouse in Ligue 2. He is seen as a player with huge potential, and has also attracted interest from a number of other European clubs.
Assuming Liverpool are successful in their pursuit of Thuram, Kone, and Mac Allister, it would represent a significant overhaul of the club’s midfield.
The trio would join the likes of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara, and in what would be a formidable midfield unit.
Overall, it looks like an exciting time to be a Liverpool fan, with the club making moves to strengthen their squad ahead of what promises to be a challenging season.
The potential signings of Thuram, Kone, and Mac Allister would add significant depth and quality to Liverpool’s midfield, and fans will be eagerly anticipating their debuts in a red shirt.
