Liverpool transfer: Premier league club have now accepted Liverpool are about to sign one of their best players in the summer
Brighton are already making plans to replace reported Liverpool target Alexis Mac Allister.
Mac Allister is currently one of the Reds’ top goals for the forthcoming transfer window, according to almost every media source under the sun. Although he won’t be particularly cheap, it now appears likely that the Argentine will play for Liverpool next season.

Dean Jones, a journalist, asserts that Brighton’s lack of resistance indicates that people have already come to terms with Mac Allister’s departure. Last night, Jones discussed the potential of the Reds signing one of the Seagulls’ top players in an interview with GiveMeSport.
“He [Jurgen Klopp] just needs to put his foot on the ball, have a breather and know that he can go into pre-season with a fully fit squad and also a couple of additions that are ready to go from day one of next season,” began the journalist.
“I think that’s why you’re already hearing so much around Liverpool’s transfer targets, especially around Mac Allister, and that they would want to get that done quickly.
“It says a lot that even Brighton aren’t playing it down at this moment. They’re almost accepting of the situation.
“They’re already making replacement plans too, so I think it’s looking good from a Liverpool point of view.”
Brighton prepare to lose Mac Allister
On the face it, Brighton really are making plans to soften the blow of Mac Allister’s potential departure. They’re reportedly on the verge of signing both James Milner and Mahmoud Dahoud.
Dahoud in particular would look like being the man to step in for their World Cup-winning No.10.
Given how early this business seems set to be completed by, it would suggest that Brighton know exactly what’s about to happen.
As all well-run clubs do, they’re pre-empting what needs to be done ahead of next season. They don’t want to be left scrambling about close to when the campaign begins, or has already begun.
That bodes well for Liverpool’s chances of securing Mac Allister. As another club who like to get their transfer spending done nice and early, getting Alexis through the door with time to spare would be a big boost.
With all that in mind, it seems hopeful that Brighton and Liverpool are on the same wavelength here.
The eventual fee may end up being a little bit of a sticking point – the Seagulls’ asking price still seems high to us. But if everyone is on the same page then it should still get resolved.
Still, nothing’s done until it’s done. Liverpool fans have been stung with long-running transfer sagas in the recent past. So, won’t be counting our chickens just yet
