Deal close – Man Utd secure £30million deal with £9million a year man
Having won two trophies in as many years, Erik ten Hag is set to agree a new two year deal with a bumper pay rise to stay at Man Utd.
As per a report published by Jeremy Cross for The Star today, the Dutch manager has gone from ‘on the brink’ of sack to securing a two year deal worth around £30million.
Cross claims the coach’s agents are finalizing the deal with the Red Devils and an official announcement is expected to be made this week.
As per The Daily Record, the headline states that Ten Hag is lucky to get a lucrative deal at Man Utd.

He joined the club at a salary of £9million a year and now, the former Ajax man is expected to earn around £15million a year.
It must be remembered that Man Utd had their worst defensive record in a Premier League campaign last term.
Moreover, they finished bottom of the Champions League group that included weaker teams, on paper, like Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
So, Ten Hag was about to be sacked, and perhaps rightly so, but the win over champions Man City in the FA Cup final changed everything.
Somehow, INEOS has not been able to find a better manager. Somehow, Ten Hag has convinced them that he is the right man to take Man Utd forward.
However, do you seriously think the Dutch manager deserves a salary raise of more than 50 percent?
