Liverpool’s search for a quality midfielder continues and lately, they have been linked with Dutch international, Teun Koopmeiners.

Liverpool have reportedly moved in and made contact with Atalanta to sign the versatile midfielder, according to a report published by La Gazzetta Dello Sport yesterday (news image given below).

According to a renowned Italian media site, the Reds are interested in signing the 24-year-old sensation but the Serie A club is not in a rush to sell.

The Merseysiders have currently expressed interest, but if a lewd offer is made, things might soon change.

According to GdS, Atalanta will only consent to the transfer of their prized asset during the current transfer window if they get a bid of approximately £35.3 million (40 million euros).

Koopmeiners currently makes about 1.5 million euros each season, and his current deal with the Italian club expires in the summer of 2025.

The La Dea won’t let him go for cheap, and for now, they’re seeking £35.3 million since they think his value will only increase over the next few months.

The 15-cap Dutchman was an important part of Louis van Gaal’s World Cup team and gave the assist against Argentina in the quarterfinal to tie the score.

Koopmeiners is a talented player with a wide range of abilities. He typically plays as a defensive midfielder but has also shown success in central and attacking midfield positions.

This season, so far, he has made 16 appearances in the Serie A for Atalanta and directly contributed in 6 goals (4 goals and 2 assists).
