West Brom has applied for a UK visa for the two-time world champion and is expected to arrive in the West Midlands this week for a routine medical examination.

With just 15 goals scored in 19 Premier League matches, Allardyce is looking for a forward and is believed to have paid attention to Musa as it would be difficult to sign Christian Benteke from Crystal Palace and Andy Carroll from Newcastle United in this window.

Musa’s physical condition will be assessed and, if the forward is in good condition, he is expected to put pencil on paper in a short term agreement until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
