Manchester United legend, Gary Neville and Roy Keane were left fuming after the derby match between United and City at Old Trafford that ended in a barren draw.

Both former United greats have suggested that neither United nor City had any ambitions to win the match.

speaking on Sky Sports :  You’ve got to gamble a little bit. You’ve got to try and win a game of football said, Keane.

“You don’t settle for draws. I’m listening to John Stones talking about a clean sheet and blah blah blah. You’ve got to go and win football matches!

“People say there’s a long way to go in the season, but when the game is there for you.

I never felt Man City were going to score many goals. Go and find a way to win the game of football.

“You’re playing for these clubs, particularly Man United, to win football matches! Not to be mates with everybody!”Really poor. With the quality, they have at the end of the game, two bookings.

“Two bookings in a derby game. I’ve never seen so many hugs and chats after the game. It’s a derby game! But the lack of quality and end product from both teams was really disappointing.

Neville said both teams lacked intent, from managers and players on the pitch.

He said: “There was no intent there. Whether on the pitch or from the managers to win the match.

“That was really poor, and we shouldn’t accept that. We can say both teams played in midweek, there are no fans, but we’ve put a lot of emphasis on the speed, thrill, risk to win in the premier league.

“There’s nothing in that game that tells me any of those things existed today.

“I’m really surprised at City, they look like a team that’s bored a little bit. And they have no option but to win the league, that’s it. It just wasn’t Man City, it wasn’t Pep Guardiola, in and out of possession.”
